Contentment

Contentment is knowing myself. Contentment is knowing that I am more than my past, more than my present. Contentment is the ability to wear sweats instead of lace and still feel attractive. Contentment is knowing I am capable of more and will get there when its time. Contentment is looking with open eyes and loving the whole package, flaws and all. Contentment is knowing there’s no hurry. Contentment is the idea that the grass is green, or brown, on both sides of the fence. Contentment is the desire to see her smile, to feel her touch, the simplicity of a hug. Contentment is no strings attached. Contentment is all around me, in every person’s desire to be happy. Contentment comes from learning my boundaries, and being okay with them. Contentment means letting go of the guilt, letting go of the hurt, letting go. Contentment means accepting. Contentment is knowing that everything is as it should and will be.
